Regarding document management: If you are looking for robust document management capabilities with features that might include: Document Repository, Version Control, Check-in/Check-out, Compound/Bound Documents, Publish to Web, High Speed Document Printing, Document Archive, Content Management, etc. -- then you should look to specific document management applications. Otherwise, if your needs are more along the lines of a marketing encyclopedia and/or literature fulfillment capabilities, them most of the current CRM packages will probably meet your needs.
