Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 does not provide direct integration with the Lotus Notes client, but it can provide some integration with Notes mail.

Unfortunately, tight integration with the Microsoft Outlook client is not available for Lotus Notes. This means that offline support and synchronization of emails, contacts, appointments and tasks are not possible through the Lotus Notes client.

Lotus Notes users can, however, access the fully-functional Dynamics CRM Web client both inside the office and through a SSL-secured external connection (https) or VPN. Additionally, with Dynamics CRM 4.0, Microsoft has made it possible to use POP and SMTP protocols to connect to email applications like Lotus Notes for monitoring and managing inbound and outbound emails. For example, a "support@company.com" email inbox in Lotus Notes could be monitored, and the inbound emails could be automatically added to Queues in Dynamics CRM 4.0. Similarly, outbound emails sent from inside the Dynamics CRM client could be sent through the POP/SMTP connector.

Additional information on the new email connectivity options in Dynamics CRM 4.0 can be found on the Microsoft CRM blogs.
