Additionally, with Dynamics CRM 4.0, Microsoft has made it possible to use POP and SMTP protocols to connect to email applications like Lotus Notes for monitoring and managing inbound and outbound emails. For example, a "support@company.com" email inbox in Lotus Notes could be monitored, and the inbound emails could be automatically added to Queues in Dynamics CRM 4.0. Similarly, outbound emails sent from inside the Dynamics CRM client could be sent through the POP/SMTP connector.
