Salesforce.com is built on an industry-standard, Web Services platform. The solution is offered as a CRM Web Service for Sales Force Automation, Customer Service & Support, and Marketing Automation. We have a published XML-based API for integration to other systems no matter what platform or environment they are built on. The API provides an interface to all necessary entities and objects in saleforce.com for integration to other systems.
