I've read a lot about the best salesforce automation (SFA) products for midmarket and small businesses. But, what about enterprise organizations? What are the top three best SFA products for a large salesforce (about 250 people)?
The definition of "best" varies from organization to organization, so I'm hard pressed to give you a list of the "best" SFA products for a large sales force without knowing more about your context. In very broad strokes, I tend to point my clients with salesforces of under 250 users and under to midmarket plays; between 250 and 500 users can be a coin toss between midmarket and enterprise solutions, and anything over 500 is definitely an enterprise play.

SFA vendors you might want to take a look at in the midmarket space include: Microsoft CRM, NetSuite, Salesforce.com and RightNow. The enterprise SFA space continues to shape-shift given Oracle's recent acquisitions, but vendors in this space include SAP and Oracle/Siebel.
