Yes, Nuance and SpeechWorks are the most widely used voice recognition solutions, particularly for call centers. (Nuance acquired SpeechWorks). There are other engines in the market, including IBM, Microsoft, Philips and Loquendo. There are also many other engines that are used for automotive speech recognition applications.
