VPGroup and Pivotal sign alliance agreement
Vancouver-based VantagePoint Systems Inc., an application software maker for the packaging industry, announced it has entered into an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement with CRM software maker Pivotal Corp., also headquartered in Vancouver. Under the agreement, VPGroup will use Pivotal's CRM and e-business technology to develop CRM software designed for the packaging manufacturing and related industries, and market it under VPGroup's e(x)Solutions product line.

Textron selects salesforce.com's online CRM application
San Francisco-based salesforce.com, a maker of online CRM technology, announced that the Commercial Solutions group of Textron Fastening Systems, a subsidiary of Providence, R.I.-based Textron Inc., has implemented salesforce.com's online CRM service. Two hundred employees in more than 15 countries are using the Web-based salesforce.com application to manage global accounts. TFS implemented salesforce.com in January, within two months of its purchase decision, according to salesforce.com.
Cintech announces results for 4th quarter and year
Cincinnati-based Cintech, a provider of contact center systems, announced results for the fourth quarter and the fiscal year that ended June 30. Total revenue for the fourth quarter was $1.8 million, a net loss of $290,000, or 2 cents per share. For all of fiscal 2001, Cintech's total revenue was $8.4 million, a net loss of $674,000, or 5 cents per share.
Aegis announces opening of customer service center
Irving, Texas-based Aegis Communications Group Inc., a provider of multi-channel CRM, announced it has opened a 60,000-square-foot customer service center in Rocky Mount, N.C. The fully integrated, Internet-enabled facility will have a 600-seat capacity.
MindArrow completes acquisition of Radical Communication
Aliso Viejo, Calif.-based MindArrow Systems Inc., a provider of direct digital marketing software and services, announced it has completed its acquisition of privately held Radical Communication Inc., a Marina Del Rey, Calif.-based provider of rich-media software. The deal was worth $1 million and 1.98 million shares of MindArrow common stock.
