Business Objects lands Fujitsu Siemens deal
French software maker Business Objects reported that it has inked a deal with European hardware vendor Fujitsu Siemens Computers. According to Business Objects, Fujitsu Siemens will use the BusinessObjects Application Foundation as a framework to build analytic applications throughout its worldwide operations. The company has also selected Business Objects as its standard enterprise reporting solution to be deployed company wide.

Nortel using Coremetrics to help track customer patterns
San Francisco-based data warehousing software specialists Coremetrics Inc. said Canadian telecom giant Nortel Networks Corp. will soon utilize its data capture and storage services throughout its corporate Web site. The Coremetrics technology will track visitor activity at Nortel's site to provide the company with information about online customers' behavior. Coremetrics said it plans to deliver nightly reports to Nortel letting the company know how and why its site is being used.
Closed Loop enters partnership with Salesforce.com
Financial software maker Closed Loop Solutions Inc., Redwood City, Calif., announced it is teaming up with San Francisco-based electronic CRM vendor Salesforce.com. The partnership opens the door for Closed Loop to link its Dynamic Financial Control platform with Salesforce.com's online customer relationship management products. The companies are betting that customers seeking specialized financial software and CRM functionality will consider the all-in-one product they intend to market through the partnership.
LumenSoft completes expansion
Business intelligence and OLAP software vendor LumenSoft Corp. announced it has completed its second facilities expansion at its St. Paul, Minn., headquarters. The company reports the result is a 210% increase of office space since September of 2000. The project represents the second facilities expansion for the company in a 12-month period.
