Baan grows North American business

Netherlands-based software maker Baan is touting its growth in North America for its iBaan package. The firm reported new customer wins including Systrand Manufacturing, an leading automotive components producer; JLM Industries, a global manufacturer and distributor of performance chemicals and specialty plastics; Ilens Logistics, a Texas-based provider of logistics products and services; Perfection Bakeries, producer of the 'Aunt Millie's' food products; and Ocean Works, a producer of atmospheric diving systems.< p>

Cybrant inks partnership with Salesforce.com

Automation software maker Cybrant Corp., Mountain View, Calif., has established a strategic alliance with online CRM vendor Salesforce.com, San Francisco. The deal is aimed at letting Salesforce.com customers extend their CRM deployments to include product configuration capabilities. Salesforce.com said its Web services interface allows it to integrate Cybrant Web-based applications rapidly.

Vertical Alliance wins race for Michigan International Speedway deal

Apps4biz releases new iteration of its CRM offering

Web-based software maker Apps4biz, Andover, Mass., released an enhanced version of its CRM package. The latest version of the software includes General apps4biz, Manufacturing apps4biz, e-Business apps4biz, and the apps4biz Vertical Portfolio (consisting of the general and manufacturing suites tailored to the plastics industry). The offering focuses specifically on areas of manufacturing, sales order management, inventory management, purchasing management, supply chain management and e-business.

Group 1 Software and Data Junction team

Data integration firm Data Junction Corp., Austin, Texas, is partnering with marketing automation software maker Group 1 Software, Lanham, Md. Under the terms of the agreement, users of Group 1's technology will be able to incorporate Data Junction's innovative data integration technology into their DM1 systems. < p>
