HP gains Oracle certification
Palo Alto, Calif.-based Hewlett-Packard Co. said it was named the preferred infrastructure services provider for software maker Oracle Corp.'s CRM FastForward Flows. The packages are aimed at accelerating deployment of CRM applications built on Redwood Shores, Calif.-based Oracle's e-business platform. HP's Rapid IT for Oracle CRM combines its consulting services and IT infrastructure products to deploy Oracle's marketing, sales and services applications in 90 days or less.
Pivotal appoints former Oracle executive
Vancouver-based CRM software maker Pivotal Corp. appointed Jesper Andersen, former Oracle Corp. vice president of online CRM services, to the position of executive vice president of products. Pivotal reported that Andersen built, launched and led Oracle's first venture into Web services. The firm said Andersen will lead Pivotal's technology vision and product development moving forward.
SAP re-releases mySAP insurance
Walldorf, Germany-based enterprise software maker SAP has re-released its vertically-oriented mySAP Insurance offering. The company said it bolstered the package's claims management capabilities. The mySAP Insurance product aims to help insurance companies streamline their customer-facing and operational processes.
Coremetrics lands Palm Beach Jewelry deal
Burlingame, Calif.-based marketing analytics software vendor Coremetrics announced that wholesaler Palm Beach Jewelry has selected its products to help improve the jeweler's online shopping experience. Coremetrics' analytics applications were brought onboard to improve Web site navigation, enhance the customer experience and minimize costs associated with internal data management, the company said. Palm Beach Jewelry is a subsidiary of the Seta Corporation, the largest jewelry catalog company in the world.
A.D.A.M. partners with ThePort Network around healthcare communication tool
Atlanta-based CRM software makers A.D.A.M. Inc. and ThePort Network Inc. are partnering to launch new healthcare information applications. The firms reported that the CRM tools are designed to provide a system for delivering personalized information and services to end users. Utilizing the application, users receive relevant information based on a unique health profile they create online.
