Onyx and Informatica score customer wins; Soffront moves a customer away from the ASP model; Talisma grabs some additional funding.

Onyx wins Haemonetics deal

Bellevue, Wash.-based CRM vendor Onyx Software Corp. reported that blood processing specialist Haemonetics Corp., Braintree, Mass., selected its software to help improve efficiency and enhance customer service. Haemonetics will use the technology to automate several sales processes. It also hopes to improve customer experience and sales process efficiency. Haemonetics officials said they will implement Onyx's Employee Portal across its sales, marketing, service and support departments, initially rolling it out to approximately 100 users throughout the U.S.

Burger King selects Informatica

Analytics software maker Informatica Corp., Redwood City, Calif., announced that fast food giant Burger King Corp., Miami, chose its PowerCenter and PowerConnect products for use with ERP vendor SAP's R/3 platform. According to Informatica, its data integration platform products will be used to extract and integrate data for analysis in support of Burger King's internal management systems.

Talisma finishes funding hunt

Seattle-based CRM software maker Talisma reported that it has finished its latest round of investment funding. The company completed three previous rounds of funding in October 2000, February 2001 and October 2001, in the amounts of $31.5, $12.3 and $10 million respectively. Talisma officials estimated that the firm raised $5 million in this, its fourth round of financing. Talisma also announced the opening of offices in Paris and the extension of its sales force throughout the U.S.

ProLink details Soffront CRM deployment

Fremont, Calif.-based CRM vendor Soffront Software Inc. announced that ProLink Inc., Fullerton, Calif., implemented Soffront CRM after a successful year of using the software in an ASP model. ProLink offers golf course information management using satellite navigation systems. ProLink officials said Soffront CRM helps the company manage sales and support processes using integrated applications for sales force automation, customer service, asset management and auditing, and knowledge management.
