Getting sales reps to enter their information into a salesforce automation application (SFA) is never an easy task, and when you're amongst the small and midsized businesses (SMB) with limited budgets and IT support, it can be even more challenging. SFA applications need to provide value and get up and running quickly in the SMB segment.

This year's winner in SearchCRM.com's SFA -- small, midmarket category is Seattle-based Entellium Corp.'s eSalesForce application. The application is offered via the Software as a Service (SaaS) model at an affordable price for SMBs, according to our judges. Its ease of use, critical for user adoption and free 24/7 support helped to set it apart.

eSalesForce received "special kudos for in-process Virtual Sales Coach, the Quota Planner, and leads distribution engine, which are all supported by a dynamic workflow engine," in the words of one judge. The application also includes a document automator, allowing sales reps to merge document templates with information from the business database and send out customized .pdf or Word documents.

eSalesForce is available either annually or month-to-month on a per user basis. The annual plan costs $50 per month, per user. The month-to-month plan is $60 dollars per month, per user. Prices are based on a five-seat minimum and include a one-time registration fee equal to one month's subscription.
